FanCensus announce First Ever European Video Games PR Charts

For the first time in the Video Games industry, FanCensus has compiled a Top 40 of the most actively covered products. Covering a 7 day period, FanCensus will weekly announce the rankings to enable publishers and developers across Europe to grasp how successful their campaigns have been over the previous 7 day period.

Uniquely the chart will grant insight in all video game releases, whether newly launched, forthcoming or a video game that is still securing coverage outside the normal PR campaign periods. Never before have publishers and developers alike been able to benchmark video games prior to launch against the whole video games industry.

The chart is compiled from counted activities across all formats within 233 media outlets across Europe, with more being added over the next quarter. It is expected that media outlets included will double in size in the new year. PR activities are included from lifestyle, national and specialist press as well as online coverage also being counted.

The PR chart will be an ongoing activity for FanCensus, and sits comfortably with the range of free and subscription based video game analysis services. Alongside freely offering consumers an Iphone app to glean product information on the go, Fancensus will continue throughout 2012 to blend industry secure information with public domain and publisher internal data to provide a distinctive understanding of video game campaigns.
