First winners of RaidCall EMS One Spring 2013 season determined after exciting finals in CS:GO and Dota 2

Cologne, May 2nd 2013 – After exciting live events in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (Cologne, Germany) and Dota 2 (Katowice, Poland), the first winners of the inaugural RaidCall EMS One Spring 2013 season have been determined. Both Ninjas in Pyjamas (CS:GO) and Natus Vincere (Dota 2) walk away as ESL's new European Champions, each receiving 12,000 US Dollars in prize money.

The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Spring 2013 season came to an end first and we had a match between Fnatic (Denmark) and Ninjas in Pyjamas (Sweden) set up as the Grand Final. The Swedish team displayed its dominance in the game once more, as they rushed to a quick and convincing victory. A week later, the angelo Hotel in Katowice (Poland) played host to the Dota 2 finals of the RaidCall EMS One Spring 2013 season and Natus Vincere (Ukraine) and ROX.KIS (Russia) provided us with an excellent match-up between both Eastern-European greats. In the end, the experience of the most consistent team in Dota 2 history helped the Ukrainian team close out the match and become the first victors of the Dota 2 Spring 2013 season. Over 120,000 concurrent live viewers watched the Grand Final in Dota 2, an exciting highpoint for a game that's still not been officially released.

As we happily look back at the conclusion of the Spring 2013 season, we rejoice and would like to announce the start of the RaidCall EMS Summer 2013 season next month in both CS:GO and Dota 2. The teams that qualified for the live event finals in both games during the Spring 2013 season are the only ones that have a guaranteed spot in the Summer 2013 season, which means sixteen more teams have to be found in the next weeks. This is where ESL's A-Series comes into play: teams can just sign up in this very flexible and dynamic league and play well enough to qualify for the online cups of the Summer 2013 season.
