Fourth Quarter 2007: Computec Media shows stronger growth than overall market / pcgames.de achieves biggest increase in reach

Computec Media was again able to increase its online reach also in the fourth quarter of 2007 and is therefore growing faster than the market as a whole; according to the most recent AGOF survey (Study Group Online Research) the number of Internet users in Germany has remained constant at 41.32 million. This makes Computec Media's growth even more significant.

Computec Media also maintained its leadership position within the core segment of electronic entertainment/ PC and video games and performed better than the rest of the market. The online reach of the seven AGOF tested websites (out of a total of 15 portals) increased from 1.39 to 1.68 million unique users. This corresponds to a 20.9 percent increase over the third quarter of 2007. Actual numbers of Unique Users according to Google Analytics (02/08) for Computec's 15 portals and Internet services is 6.8 million unique users.

The Internet launch of PC Games delivered a strong contribution to Computec Media's increased online reach. According to AGOF, the www.pcgames.de portal jumped by 37.5 percent, representing a sharp rise in unique users from 480,000 to 660,000.

Petra Fröhlich, editor-in-chief and publishing director at PC Games and pcgames.de: "We are very pleased with the considerable increase of 37.5 percent over the previous quarter. We expect a continuation of this positive development especially because we proceed upgrading pcgames.de using a completely new and innovative product concept starting April."

"Computec's Internet Offensive in 2007 has delivered impressive results with an increase, according to the conservative figures of AGOF, of nearly one million unique users," stated Johannes Sevket Gözalan, CEO at Computec Media AG. "My colleagues made full use of both the creative potential as well as the technical and personnel resources, resulting in this success, which we have enhanced and secured by the acquisition of the school-student's network Schueler.CC in the first quarter of 2008."
