Barcelona, 3rd April 2009 - Korner Entertainment S.L. announces its agreement with german company Chessbase for worldwide rights of its Mobile version of the most important chess license in the world: FRITZ.

The new production company based in Barcelona, Korner Entertainment has signed the worldwide rights for FRITZ MOBILE, the conversion to most mobile phones of the most awarded chess game ever.

Fritz Mobile is the ultimate mobile chess companion, ready to play anywhere and anytime. It may be small in size, but its playing strength is gigantic. Its brand-new chess engine, developed by Mark Uniacke, has a well-balanced positional style with first-class tactical strength. Fritz Mobile is considerably stronger than its predecessor– the estimated playing strength is 2650 Elo!

Fritz Mobile gives you direct access to the new high-speed online database of games, containing million games, developed by ChessBase. Any search will be answered instantly by the ChessBase server, which is kept up-to-date on a weekly basis. You can retrieve all games in which the current position occurred, or review the latest ideas in openings theory, with full statistical information on all moves that can be played and their chances of success.

Korner has production deals for different platforms with several Spanish developers with large previous experience. The company currently has three projects in production and development for PC and Wii that will come out in 2009.
