IRVINE, CALIFORNIA -- SEPTEMBER 2, 2011 -- ATLUS today released a new full trailer and a batch of screenshots for the highly anticipated Shin Megami Tensei®: Persona®2: Innocent Sin for PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, the one entry in the publisher's acclaimed Persona series of roleplaying games never to be released outside of Japan.  The new assets follow recent news that each and every launch copy of the game will be a special boxed package with a free mini-soundtrack CD featuring 10 tracks from the game's musical score packed in alongside the game.  Also confirmed today was the game's final release date, now set for September 20 in stores and for download via PlayStation®Network.

The new trailer presents viewers with Persona 2: Innocent Sin's dark, disturbing narrative.  When rumors start to become reality, including one that the emblem of the famed Seven Sisters High School is cursed and will disfigure its wearer's face, paranoia and panic rule the day.  This calamity, combined with the protagonists discovering their latent abilities and harnessing their powers to uncover the origins of the curse, offers players a mature, memorable narrative that is still novel over ten years since its original release.  In addition to the new trailer, ATLUS also today released a new batch of screenshots focused on Innocent Sin's unique, central Rumor system.

Over 12 years in the making, the official localization of Innocent Sin provides patient fans with a dark RPG epic about reality being twisted by rumors and high school students who must draw on their inner strengths, their Personas, to bring back order.  Taking advantage of PSP system's 16:9 aspect ratio, higher resolution display, superior audio, and increased horsepower, this remastered version of one of the pinnacles of ATLUS' flagship Shin Megami Tensei franchise delivers the game in style with a sleek new interface, new sidequests in the Climax Theater, and the player's choice of the fully remixed or original soundtrack.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2: Innocent Sin for PSP system is currently scheduled to release in North America on September 20.  Each and every launch copy of Innocent Sin will be a special boxed release with a bonus 10-track music CD featuring a mix of songs from the game's moody and haunting soundtrack.  Fans are strongly urged to pre-order as supplies will be limited.
