Funny Bear Studio Launches New Griddles Experience with World Riddles: Secrets of the Ages

Reveal the Secrets of Great Civilizations of the World in New and Fun Griddles Puzzle Game

Novosibirsk, Russia – July 27, 2011 – Funny Bear Studio, a casual games developer, today announces the launch of

World Riddles: Secrets of the Ages, the much-awaited third title in the company’s popular World Riddles series. The game remains faithful to its nonogram-solving roots, but introduces a new storyline, 140 colorful and increasingly challenging levels in the main mode, many bonus puzzles, over 12 hours of game play and beautiful graphics. World Riddles: Secrets of the Ages is available now for PC at

Building on the original World Riddles: Animals, the new release takes players on a trip in time to reveal the secrets of seven great civilizations and restore the Medallion. To collect all its pieces, gamers will travel in time to the age of Roman gladiators, the land of Tibetan monks, Aztec pyramids and other exciting worlds. In each place, they’ll need to solve number-based logic puzzles. The game lets players explore 140 exciting game levels with a steady difficulty curve. In addition to puzzles, gamers will also learn many historical facts about ancient civilizations.

Each puzzle in the game features a grid board with tiles, concealing a picture. The idea is to use the number clues on top and on the left of the board as an indication of how many squares are full on each row and column. If the numbers are "3, 1, 5", for instance, it means that three adjacent blocks are filled in, followed by at least one non-filled space, a single block, and then five adjacent blocks. The task of the player is to slowly uncover the hidden picture with a certain number of possible mistakes. The challenge comes into play as the player advances to higher levels and has to uncover a more complex design on a board with many cells and small numbers.

Completing stages unlocks bonus levels that challenge the player to complete a series of puzzles as quickly as possible with a minimal number of mistakes. Players who like competing with others will find a table of records and can compete with each other to beat the records of speed. Also the game awards players with various trophies based on how quickly and efficiently they solve puzzles. The player can get trophies for scoring a specific number of points in bonus levels, for completing a particular number of levels in expert time, without hints, or mistakes.

World Riddles: Secrets of the Ages is free to try for one hour of game play, or users may buy the full version of the game for $9.95 USD. The trial can be downloaded from
