Gale Force Logic Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

Raleigh-Durham, NC, September 15th, 2011 – One year ago today, Gale Force Logic was formed in partnership with Joystick Labs as one of the five game studio startups in the incubator’s inaugural acceleration program.  During this program, Gale Force Logic developed a playable proof of concept for their flagship title Pocket Aces: Episode One, an interactive crime drama that uses card games to trigger the player’s progression through the story.

To celebrate this milestone, Gale Force Logic unveiled a brand new website, complete with a development blog that announces the upcoming Tattoo Wars- the company’s first casual title to be released under its Force 2 Games brand.  Tattoo Wars is a side-scrolling, 2D arcade shooter for iOS devices, where players pilot a tribal tattoo and take on enemy tattoos in the form of scorpions, flaming skulls, and other tattoo inspired assailants.

“We are hard at work keeping the dream alive,” says Jay Clark, President and Co-Founder. “A year goes by quickly in this business, so staying vigilant and committed to our success is what motivates us to proceed.”  Earlier this year, the company released their first title Atmospheric- an ambient music generation app developed using Epic Games’ Unreal Development Kit.  Clark continues saying, “we believe that all of our titles are unique enough to gain the attention of the market.  Our job now is to keep their attention with as much engaging content as possible.”
