Hamburg, Germany - October 4th, 2011 – Barely a month after recruiting new staff members Christian Leibe, Tobias Piwek and Sebastian Grun, Hamburg-based mobile games specialist Fishlabs Entertainment now welcomes another two new employees on board, namely Mark Intelmann and Eva Jobse. The two experienced Game Designers have joined the ranks of one of the world’s leading developers and publishers of high-quality 3D games for smartphones and tablets on October 1st, 2011. While Intelmann assumes the new position of Online Game Designer and focuses on free-to-play monetization and multiplayer/online functionality, Jobse holds the office of Senior Game System Designer and supports Fishlabs in the creation of new sci-fi MMOs and the design of new in-game trading systems.
Intelmann (38) is an old hand at designing computer and video games and has last worked for Bigpoint, where he was responsible, among others, for the monetization, the balancing and the quest editor of the free-to-play online game ‘Sea Fight’. Before his engagement with Bigpoint, the graduated Game Designer worked as a Level Designer on Spellbound’s western strategy games ‘Helldorado’ and ‘Desperados’, as well as both sequels of Studio II Software’s action RPG ‘Sacred’.
Jobse (27), native-born in the Netherlands, has last worked for the Amsterdam-based video game developers Virtual Fairground and Gamundo in the position of Lead Game Designer. However, her future employment at Fishlabs cannot least be attributed to her involvement in CCP Games’ popular sci-fi MMO ‘EVE Online’. At CCP, she started as an elected member of the Council of Stellar Management, mediating between community and developer, and later on also worked as a Freelance Game Designer.
‘Thanks to the numerous new additions to our team, we are now well prepared to expand our successful ‘Galaxy on Fire’ series and win over a whole new target group by the implementation of multiplayer gameplay on the one hand and a new free-to-play business model on the other,’ says Fishlabs-CEO Michael Schade. ‘Furthermore, in addition to the upcoming MMO, we also have a brand-new mobile gaming experience set in the ‘Galaxy on Fire’ universe up our sleeves. So our hardcore fans, who have supported us from the very beginning, won’t miss out on anything either.’
