GAME grows retro offering with additional SEGA digital downloads

30 th June, 2014 GAME has launched an expanded range of SEGA digital download codes available both online and in store. These digital downloads are available exclusively to PS3 users via the PS Network and start from as little as £3.69.

This expanded offering of SEGA digital downloads comes after the highly successful response to the initial codes introduced by GAME earlier this year which saw a host of selected classics opened up to new and established gamers for the first time in the UK. Now kids can challenge their dads at even more games - including Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi and Shinobi in the comfort of their own homes as opposed to in the arcades.

Available to purchase in-store (including via GAME’s newly released payment method: Game Wallet) and online at www.game.co.uk (via PayPal or credit/debit card), the codes will be activated and issued via till receipts (in store) or email (when bought online). Once received, customers simply need to enter the codes into their PSN on the PS3 and the game will be downloaded.

For customers looking to purchase these downloads, there is also an incentive to get in store quick with an extra 50% off the RRP until 4 th July as part of GAME’s Deals of the Week. And as always, customers can also trade-in against the value of the SEGA digital downloads purchases in store.

Charlotte Knight, Category Director at GAME commented: “We’re committed to making more digital content available and making it more accessible for all our customers, particularly those who wish to pay by cash. We’re really excited about this partnership with SEGA - it has proved very successful to date so we are delighted that we can expand the offering to make it easier for gamers to access long lost classics and will open up these games to a whole new generation of gamers.

“What’s more, by purchasing through GAME, customers will be able to earn Reward points on all their purchases, have the choice of multiple ways to pay, both in store and online as well as the added benefit of trading in, making it even easier to get gaming.”
