Gameplay Videos Released for Atari's Pong®Indie Developer Challenge

LOS ANGELES - June 15, 2012 -  Atari, one of the world’s most recognized publishers and developers of interactive entertainment, today released gameplay video footage for each of the game submissions previously selected as semi-finalists in the Pong® Indie Developer Challenge. The semi-finalists submitted the videos together with builds of their game on June 5, moving into the finalist selection phase based on judging criteria listed in the official rules.

Announcement of the finalists will take place on June 26 in celebration of Atari’s 40 th anniversary and fans should also stay tuned to Atari’s official Facebook Page for more information and promotions surrounding the anniversary.

Up to 10 finalists will be chosen to receive three-year revenue-share publishing agreements and cash prizes based on their final ranking: first place will receive $50,000, second place to earn $37,500, third place netting $15,000, and up to seven additional runner-ups taking home $5,000 each. Additionally, finalists will be featured on Atari’s Developer Spotlight, an online portal with information on the developers and their contest efforts.
