[Toronto, CANADA] Gamercamp has announced its official selections for the 2013 festival.
Monday, Gamercamp festival director Jaime Woo shared the 14 titles that were chosen from submissions from across North America and Europe, spanning a diverse range of genres and formats. The selections include many Canadian premieres, helping to establish both Toronto and Gamercamp as emerging players on the exhibition circuit.
"We're very proud to be bringing these amazing games to Toronto," says Woo. "This city is in love with games and it's thrilling that Gamercamp attendees are among the first to play many of the games from our official selection and meet the developers behind them."
The games for 2013 include: A Fishing Game With Actual Water, Captain Astronaut’s Last Hurrah, Crypt of the NecroDancer, Huskerball, Jazzpunk, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Puzzle Axe, Secrets of Raetikon, SoundSelf, Stanley Parable, STARWHAL: Just the Tip, Super TIME Force, Toto Temple, and Without Question. Of the collection, Woo adds: "There is a game for everyone, whether they are a casual, occasional, or hardcore player; whether they are young or old; whether they identify as male or female. Gamercamp is a festival for anyone who plays games, even if they don't consider themselves a gamer."
Gamercamp is one of Canada’s largest games festivals and brings global talent to Toronto. Over 2,000 people are expected to attend Gamercamp this year. Passes are on sale now, starting at $15, and available at Gamercamp.ca.
