London, 24 th February 2011– GamesAid, a UK games industry charity for children and young people, has announced an industry darts night to raise funds for the charities it supports. The event will take place on Wednesday 9 th of March 2011 from 6.30pm at The Horseshoe, 24 Clerkenwell Close, London, EC1R 0AG.

Experience and skill are not a pre-requisite for this fun event but we do encourage you to come in appropriate darting attire, so the more ill-fitting polyester the better.  The one thing that will be compulsory is walk on music, so start thinking about what tune you’ll want to make your entrance to and bring it along on the evening on your iPod ready to be played through the sound system at the pub.

The cost for the chance of darting immortality is only£20 per person, please make your donation to GamesAid in advance at or contact David Walker at Enter either as a pair or a single player.

Andy Payne, Chairman of GamesAid, said:“This event is shaping up to be fantastic fun, we have already had a great deal of interest but there is still room for more to join. We encourage everyone to make an effort to attend”

All fundraising donations are gratefully received at
