SAN FRANCISCO– Sept. 28, 2010– The call for submissions to present summit sessions at the 2011 Game Developers Conference ® (GDC) is now open through Thursday, October 14, 2010. The GDC Summits take place during the first two days of GDC and offer content along a variety of specialized topics. This year, the conference is introducing the GDC Smartphone Summit, which brings top developers from around the world to share ideas, best practices and discuss the future of the emerging smartphone and related platforms, including iPhone, iPad, Android OS phones, tablets, Blackberry and a variety of handheld devices. The summits also include the return of dedicated programs focused on Game Localization, Game Education, Independent developers, and Artificial Intelligence, Serious Games, Social, and Online game development. Organized by the UBM TechWeb Game Network, GDC 2011 marks the 25th anniversary of the game industry’s most comprehensive professionals-only event, taking place February 28 - March 4 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California.
