Gem Dial for iPad released on App Store

Game concept:

Gem Dial attempts to provide freshness to a well known genre by utilizing a radial environment instead of the traditional grid. Gems are connected by turning the dials, and are cleared if the gems connect through all 3 dials. Play either Puzzle Mode, which really challenges your gray matter, or play the more casual Arcade Mode, where you fight against the clock as cleared slots are immediately refilled.

Gem Dial features more than 1500 unique puzzles of various difficulty ranging from very easy to expert. It also features custom written physics, soothing bossa nova soundtrack, and delicious home made retro sound effects to go with the retro casino design.

Background:

I was attracted by the notion of making a game that's really fun with simple rules. Having enjoyed e.g. Bejeweled, I was frustrated by certain parts of the rules, which I then wanted to challenge. I'm a lone developer with no previous experience from game development, and Gem Dial is my first release. I got into development by simple attraction to the industry and the gentle learning curve offered by modern developer tools (Unity in this case), as well as the amazing community out there!

Gem Dial is available now on App Store for $1.99 for your dialing pleasure!
