London, United Kingdom - August 3, 2012 - GREE today announced the opening
of a new game development studio and GREE UK's planned relocation in
September to a new office in the heart of East London's vibrant Tech City,
known by digital innovators as 'Silicon Roundabout'. The new studio, which
will develop for GREE's mobile social games, is being opened as part of
GREE's aggressive expansion in Europe alongside other regions such as North
America, where it recently announced a new Vancouver studio.
The London studio will create exciting employment opportunities within the
mobile gaming sector in Europe. GREE UK currently has approximately 20
employees and has been proactively increasing headcount to staff its
development, developer relations, marketing and customer support functions.
More recruitment opportunities are available with GREE's UK and European

strategically significant on many levels. Primarily it will allow us to
focus on Western content, keyed to local social trends, as well as tailoring
content for global propositions. It also reinforces GREE's commitment
to growth within European markets." Regarding the new office location, Shima
added, "The London area known as Silicon Roundabout has grown rapidly as
a community of digital innovators and creative forward-thinkers, making it
the obvious location for GREE to base UK operations."
Today at the Global Business Summit on ICT held at the British Business
Embassy, George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer, said: "The Government
is determined to make Britain the technology centre of Europe, with the
London's Tech City at its heart. London 2012 is the perfect stage to show
investors and entrepreneurs how much we have already achieved, and the
exciting potential of what is to come. We are also proud to demonstrate the
world-class innovation of the British tech industry, which is helping to
deliver the most digitally-advanced Games in history."
GREE will exhibit at the forthcoming gamescom convention in Cologne, Germany
from August 15 to 19, where members of the UK recruitment team will be on
hand to discuss employment opportunities.
