“We are continually listening to our customers and one of their most asked for features was a forum. It would have been very easy for us to just whack up an off-the-shelf solution, however we really wanted to offer an integrated solution to our existing website technology,” said Green Man Gaming’s Head of Operations and Communications Martin Snelling.“We are immensely happy with what our tech team have created, and we hope our customers are too.”
The integrated forum allows for Green Man Gaming customers to come together in a friendly, accessible social space to talk about games and gaming without the need to re-register. It also gives customers a chance to directly feedback about Green Man Gaming and their unique digital trade-in service. Customers can access the main forum from the Green Man Gaming website, or jump to a specific game forum directly from that game’s product page. The Green Man Gaming forums are free to use and future updates will see greater integration with other social media spaces such as Twitter and Facebook.
To celebrate the launch of the forum, Green Man Gaming will be giving away 160 games from a wide range of publishers including Square Enix, SEGA, 2K Games, 1C Publishing, Paradox, City Interactive, and indie developer Uglysoft.
Green Man Gaming will also be using their forums to give users direct access to exclusive BETA keys for a variety of titles and exclusive interview opportunities with game developers.
