Green Man Gaming partners with Gaikai for streaming demos

12/01/12 – Green Man Gaming ( http://www.greenmangaming.co.uk) – Europe’s fastest-growing independent digital distributor for PC games has announced an exciting partnership with leading cloud gaming service, Gaikai.

Consumers visiting Green Man Gaming (GMG) are able to stream and play a game demo from Gaikai’s portfolio through any of the online retailer’s websites, including its recently launched local stores for gamers in the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.  Gaikai allows gamers to sample the latest AAA PC games directly through any web browser on any operating system and then allows them to buy and download from GMG.

Since launching its UK store in 2010, the independently owned and operated Green Man Gaming, backed by Eden Ventures continues to grow.  GMG now sells over 900 titles from 85 publishers in 146 countries around the world and continues to grow – launching new stores with regional partners including IGN Germany, later this year.

Paul Sulyok, Managing Director, Green Man Gaming, said:

“Gaikai’s seamless streaming experience will help our customers reach a decision on the right games to buy.  We realise money is tight, so we’re committed to offering gamers our best prices.  Our partnership with Gaikai gives consumers a great chance to instantly sample if a game is for them before parting with their hard earned cash. It’s incredibly exciting to see Gaikai teaming up with a young, hungry online retailer in Green Man Gaming, alongside heavyweight publishers, retailers and media brands.”

Robert Stevenson, SVP Interactive Entertainment, Gaikai added:

“We are delighted to be partnering with Green Man Gaming in streaming our growing portfolio of triple A titles to their customers. GMG has demonstrated great growth and we anticipate that our streaming service will further accelerate their digital business.”
