HandyGames™ chases the summit of best mobile games publishers

Giebelstadt, 20th of October 2008

HandyGames™, one of the leading mobile games publishers from Germany, ranked on second place in the MobileGamesDb ranking of the best mobile games publishers for the third quarter 2008. HandyGames™ has catapulted themselves in one stroke from the Top 10 mobile games publishers to the Top 3 since the second quarter of 2008.

This success is no accident, says HandyGames™ CEO Markus Kassulke. "Our team is always working hard to increase the quality standard of HandyGames™. With Townsmen 5, which was released in January 2008, we won the 1st place in the PocketGamer ranking in the category "Best Games" during the first quarter 2008. The same game is now, in the third quarter of 2008, still on a place under the best three mobile games in the PocketGamer quality index."

The immense meaning of high quality mobile games is also emphasised by Matej Gause, content director of the MobileGamesDb portal:“We are glad to show that quality on the market matters, and that developers focus on it more and more! A big surprise this quarter is definitely HandyGames™, giving a jump from 10th position to 2nd place.“

The MobileGamesDb rating is a highly representative and global measure when it comes to popularity and quality of mobile games. The organisers collect reviews from several autonomous games websites like PocketGamer, AirGamer, Midlet-Review, ProjectNext und Mobilgamer and evaluate all published game reviews for the ranking.

HandyGames™ CEO Christopher Kassulke is especially proud that in Germany produced mobile games are highly competitive in the international games market. "We are happy that the MobileGamesDb ranking is mentioning us in one breath with the Big Three. This fact confirms our philosophy to produce 100% of our titles here in Germany and to place specific value on highest standards."
