For Immediate Release
London– 24th September, 2007 .….. Top topics for any aspiring game hero or movie screen star or director are how to ensure you deliver your best and stand out from the crowd. Learn how to design effective engaging and emotive games and hone your skills in machinima by attending one of our events running throughout the London Games Festival.
25th October is an action-packed day and the first day of our Heroes, Movie-Stars&Millionaires events.
In the morning of 25th October, the games design workshop: Design Rules! Creating Compelling Emotive Games is lead by highly-respected games designer and industry veteran Ernest Adams. You will return from this workshop with a clear vision and practical skills for designing a winning game– along with many ideas that you can start to work-up immediately, and a number of new contacts to get together with for designing your next game.
In the afternoon of 25th October, there is a focus on the skills and know-how needed for top-rate machinima direction, production and distribution.‘It’s Showtime– with Machinima’ includes leading expert Ricard Gras of LA interactive along with machinima tools expert MovieStorm and the guys behind some of the leading Machinima Festivals– all demonstrating how you can win accolades in this space whilst answering your questions about how you best develop machinima and what the emerging business model is, especially as Microsoft and others are now providing clearer (and more prohibitive) direction about how their games engines can and can’t be used for machinima. Screenings are planned for the evening.
Booking is now open for these two events– there are limited places so you are advised to book soon. More information and booking online for only£99 + vat at www.applygroup.com/LGF07.htm. More event information to follow.
