February 29, 2012 - A very promising public launch for G2PO.com, a first-of-its-kind gaming video platform, reaching over 500,000 page views in its first two weeks after opening to the public on Monday, February 13 th, with registered users topping 17,000. G2PO.com is designed to serve video content - such as trailers and reviews, news, and strategy videos - from video game publishers and developers, leading gaming news publications, and top independent producers, and enable gamers to find and follow all the games, videos, and channels they want, with ease.
Much like publishers, developers, publications and top independents already do on broader video platforms, G2PO.com allows each to freely publish to the same video platform, but now distilled to gaming exclusively. Video content from major publishers can already be found on G2PO.com, including publishers like Activision, Square Enix, PlayStation, and Xbox, as well a growing list of video game developers, like Digital Extremes. As G2PO continues to grow, so does the opportunity to discover a game’s developer and publisher through every single related video released on G2PO, allowing game fans to more readily become developer fans, and publisher fans.
Core to G2PO is also top independent producers, having already recruited dozens of highly popular gaming video producers to also publish their video to G2PO.com. By focusing on quality video, top independent producers are able to achieve the visibility they need.
