Boston, MA – The frog-themed puzzle game HogFrog, from developers Dreamharvesters, has been updated and is now free to download and easy to share.
The developers for HogFrog have been monitoring player feedback on the game and have made some changes to reflect the suggestions of their player base.
First to be changed were the introduction levels. “Some players were finding the early levels too difficult to get to grips with. So we made it much easier at the start of the game, by introducing them to the mechanics more slowly” Says Sitki Emre SOLAK, founder and the head of DreamHarvesters.
The second problem players were facing was the balancing of the levels. Some of the levels were much greater in difficulty and it changed the flow of gameplay too drastically. Sitki commented - “The team here [ DreamHarvesters], have gone back over all of the levels, and assessed what each one needed to have changed to make it feel more fun to play. To give users a sense of progression instead of frustration”
Along with the level changes, HogFrog also had Heyzap – a social discovery application - integrated into the game, allowing players to share their game activities with their friends and the community of fellow gamers who also use Heyzap.
HogFrog is a single action puzzle game based on the story of Tore, a love stricken frog. Players take control of Tore, and through various levels in different ponds, must use his tongue to catch all the mosquitoes. Even though players have multiple chances on each level, each one can be completed by just one flick of the tongue, gaining the maximum points available.
The game comes with four different styles of pond, each containing ten levels. As the player progresses through the levels they will face various challenges, such as turtles that make Tore’s tongue rebound, smaller poisonous frogs that stop Tore’s tongue dead, and rotating logs which can be used to the players advantage as well as cause hindrance.
HogFrog is available on the App Store as a free download, which includes the first 10 levels.
