11/03/2013 – IGN Entertainment – the world’s largest games media group, has announced the launch of its latest local edition, IGN Russia ( http://ru.ign.com) in partnership with Eastern Europe’s biggest special-interest media publisher, Gameland.
IGN Russia launches in March and will cover games, movies and PC hardware in Russian language from launch. The site is edited by Konstantin Govorun, Editor-in-Chief of Gameland magazine. With over a decade of games industry experience, Konstantin is a respected editor who previously edited Russia’s Official PlayStation Magazine.
Gameland was established in 1996 to publish Russia’s market-leading multi-format title, Gameland magazine. Since, it has spawned more than 15 special-interest magazines for movies, cars, PC hardware, photos and sports enthusiasts, making it the largest special-interest media publisher in Eastern Europe. Gameland magazine is available in both print and iPad digital versions.
