IGN reveals Top 100 Gaming Moments

02/12/11 – IGN, the world’s largest video games site, starts counting down its Top 100 Gaming Moments on Monday – in a major new week long feature.

IGN’s Top 100 Gaming Moments will be revealed between Monday, 5 th and Friday, 9 th December – counting down 20 games each day, exclusively at http://go.ign.com/gamemoments.

An international panel of IGN Editors deliberated over a massive list to create IGN’s Top 100 Gaming Moments – taking unforgettable gameplay, graphics, storyline and technological moments into account.   The final list includes 100 games from 1980 to 2011 and is guaranteed to stir the emotions of even the most hardened gamer. Each moment is captured in a video.

Alex Simmons, UK Editor-in-Chief, IGN, said:

“If you care about video games, you’re going to find something on our list that relates to your own memories and experiences.  This has been one of the hardest features to create, as everybody wanted to ensure their own favourites were in the list – but we’re really excited to have packed in 100 games from the last 31 years.  This is guaranteed to create debate.”
