The handball video game of the Berlin-based Neutron Games GmbH is now available in Scandinavian electronics stores and retail warehouses through a close partnership with Entertainment Trading ApS.
Berlin, 13.01.2012 – Thanks to a fruitful cooperation with the distributor Entertainment Trading ApS the first official handball video game for PC, IHF Handball Challenge 12, is finally available in Scandinavia, thus Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The producing company from Berlin, Neutron Games GmbH, hopes to fill a huge void in the world of computer games.
After the fans got an appetizer to the full-price title for over 18 months with the mini-game series Handball Challenge Training Camp, they now can score their goals with complete teams. Users can choose from more than 90 original sides, for example all participants of the World Championship 2011 in Sweden and all clubs from the TOYOTA Handball-Bundesliga, the 2. Handball-Bundesliga and the Spanish Liga ASOBAL.
A recent update enhances the game experience in many fields. The main goal was to listen carefully to the feedback of the users and make sure to satisfy them as much as possible. The free update can be downloaded directly from within the game. After each match detailed statistics regarding goals and fouls will be available. It’s now possible to play a league season with all teams from the World League and the passing accuracy has been optimized to improve the game play.
“With regard to the upcoming 2012 European Championship in Serbia from 15-29 January we are happy to bring the handball experience straight to the living room. Scandinavian fans can now play matches themselves or with friends,” said game designer Gregor Ilg (Neutron Games).
Furthermore everybody who is undecided or wants to have a closer look at the game can check out the recent free browser demo under http://www.handball-challenge.com/en/ihf-hc-12/demo. Activation takes just about two minutes if users have a broadband connection.
By now Handball Challenge already has a big fan base with about 21.000 Facebook fans and over 700.000 views in its YouTube channel:
