Indie Developers’ lives get easier with Vostopia

Independent developers can save themselves time, work and money by taking advantage of a fully functioning and proven platform for customizable avatars and monetization, which has an established user base.

Vostopia began life back in July 2009 and was the brainchild of veteran developer Bjarne Rene.

Frustrated by the difficulty in getting a free to play game to market and effectively monetize, he decided to build a platform to make this easy for himself and others.

He quickly formed a team of experienced developers who were up to the task of building such a platform from scratch.  Fast-forward to the present day and Vostopia is live, working well and already hosting two games.  A further two games will shortly go live and there is plenty of capacity for more games to join them!

The team has focused on making a system which is both developer and consumer friendly.  Integration is done in a matter of minutes, and offers a system of fully customisable avatars with an avatar creator, a dressing room and a virtual item shop.

The avatars and platform have been fully tested as it has been in the beta test phase since July 2011.  It is extremely solid and so Vostopia feels the time is now right to open up the system to more developers who are using Unity 3D.

The platform currently supports Web builds on PC/Mac and Facebook, and the team plan to support more options in the coming months.

As experienced developers, Vostopia know there is no such thing as a one size fits all solution when it come to making and publishing games, so there are a number of plans to choose from; including an entry level package which is free of charge!
