FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Curitiba, Brazil, 09/03/2012
Qasir al-Wasat: A Night in-Between, one of the finalists at IndieCade 2012, was released worldwide this weekend, August 31 2012 for the PC and Mac platforms. The release trailer is available on Vimeo.
Qasir is a stealth-adventure game, with heavy emphasis on narrative and storytelling. It tells the story of an invisible spirit summoned to a wondrous palace to fulfill a stealth mission. The catch is that the mission is not as straightforward as it is initially briefed and that being invisible is not the same as being undetectable. The character can still be heard and killing enemies drenches it in blood, making it slightly more visible for each assassination. The palace itself is full of traps and riddles and it hides a deep secret that is too magnificent to ignore. It is up to the player to investigate, explore and unveil the mysteries of the palace. The game draws heavily from Arabic and Persian medieval folklore and iconography to set it's tone and mood, being kind of a video-gamey One Thousand and One Nights poem.
The game will be initially available for purchase at the same place it was available as a pre-order: our own website at qasir.adugestudio.com/store and at Indievania and Desura distribution channels. The game also has a page on Steam Greenlight.
