Hamburg, May 14, 2013. Online games developer InnoGames invites industry professionals as well as beginners to a Game Jam in its Hamburg office on June 21. For the sixth time, participants will develop computer games in various teams within 48 hours - including graphics, game design and the actual programming. Interested parties can sign up by dropping an email to email@example.com until June 5, containing a brief introduction. InnoGames will provide lodging and food for the whole weekend; the required hardware will be brought by the participants themselves.
Based on past participation, InnoGames expects about 70 talented individuals for the Game Jam. In addition to external guests, developers, graphic designers and game designers working at InnoGames will also be participating. Concerning the technical platform, there are few rules. The only requirement is that the software used is free and freely available. Past Game Jams have seen a huge variety of projects proposed and completed, containing desktop browser games as well as mobile apps. The winners from September 2012, for example, developed the browser-based Jump & Run " Hans and Jamal". The game itself is playable here, a gameplay video can be found on YouTube. The strategy game Frankenstein has been created, among others, at the last Game Jam in January.
With more than 100 million registered players, InnoGames is one of the world's leading developers and providers of online games. The Hamburg-based company has scored major successes with games such as Tribal Wars, Forge of Empires and Grepolis.
