InnoGames monetizes games in Latin America, Portugal and Spain using UOL BOACOMPRA’s Online Stores

Lisbon, Portugal, April 4, 2013 – UOL BoaCompra, the leader in emerging markets and digital goods payments in Latin America, and InnoGames, a leading online game developer and publisher, today announced that they have extended their partnership to monetize the German-based company’s games in Latin America, Portugal and Spain using BoaCompra’s online stores.

Gamers in Latin America, Portugal and Spain can now purchase credits at InnoGames games with their local currency and preferred payment methods – from Boleto Bancário in Brazil to cash payments in Argentina, and Multibanco in Portugal. Local credit cards, SMS and direct debit are also among BoaCompra’s wide range of purchase options available to players.

InnoGames has been using BoaCompra’s E-pin prepaid vouchers since 2009, and now the successful partnership has been extended to a monetizing agreement. From Spain and Portugal to LATAM, through BoaCompra’s game monetization network with more than 120,000 POS, InnoGames will extend its reach and global gaming market penetration. BoaCompra enables large foreign and regional game developers and publishers quick and easy access to this large, profitable and rapidly expanding market.

“We are very excited to take our partnership with InnoGames to the next level. Latin-America, Portugal and Spain are thriving markets and we are confident InnoGames will expand its reach through our network,” said Julian Migura, director of international business development at UOL BoaCompra.

“Offering the right payment methods is key when it comes to monetization of free-to-play games. That is why we are always carefully evaluating which partners to choose,” said Armin Busen, Chief Financial Officer of InnoGames. “With BoaCompra, we have established a very well working long-time partnership and we are very happy to expand it now – especially in a region that will play a major factor in our future strategies.”
