The Barcelona-based company makes the game at the community’s disposal in order to get the product up and running through their donations and ideas and will end up belonging to all basketball fans in particular and to managers in general.

In this crowd funding campaign, the U-PLAY Studios’ staff has been innovative and has introduced, apart from making regular contributions through PayPal, a free payment system for those users who do not trust virtual payments or cannot help due to financial limitations. Players can help the project through actions such as registering at a website, viewing an ad, filling out a poll or many other options to make donations to the project increase without spending any penny.

The crowd funding process is fixed at six months to achieve various objectives, which may vary according to the contributions collected and how far the community want to reach. If you want to participate in this initiative, click on the following link:

A series of incentives and rewards, both individual and collective, have been planned to encourage potential investors for the project. As we reach different volumes of input, users can become part of the game by becoming one of the junior players, being testers, appearing in the credits as project sponsors, winning t-shirts, getting free previous game versions or by deciding which real competition should be included in the game, and even having access to the product publisher. Altogether, there are more than a dozen rewards which include a competition to know what users and which countries are the most active in helping the product. The weekly winners will receive more gifts related to the product.

"I am very fond of this game, but the market situation and the complexity of this game genre makes the product not be commercially viable for publishers. That is why we turned to the community to help us carry on with International Basketball Manager, a game that belongs to us all . We already have many fans and we hope that with this action we can get many more that make it possible to finance the future of this project and, if possible, find a publisher who trusts it so that all basketball fans in the world can enjoy this great product. If it proves successful , in the future we may offer the game totally free to the community, without having to rely on other companies," said Jordi Torras, CEO of U-Play Studios.

"We trust the community and we will support them through the main social networks to help us.  We will offer various incentives and rewards for that, besides contributing to the development of the product, so they can have fond memories of this initiative," said Judit Millà, Community Manager of U-Play Studios.
