Brighton, UK, 19th June 2012: Eurogamer, Europe's leading independent games media specialist, is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Matulef has joined the company as Eurogamer.net's new US News Editor.
Jeffrey has contributed to Eurogamer.net as well as US sites G4TV, GameSetWatch, Joystiq and others for several years, and replaces Fred Dutton, who is leaving to return to the UK.
"I've been a fan of Jeffrey's work ever since he door-stopped me at a PAX party in 2009 and seemed to know more about Eurogamer than I did, so I'm not surprised he's finally joining us full-time. He's a passionate and devoted journalist with a great love of the sort of games we care about," said Tom Bramwell, Operations Director at Eurogamer Network.
"We're sad to say goodbye to Fred, who has done a wonderful job building up our US news coverage over the last two years. The silver lining is that once he's back in the UK we will see a lot more of him in person."
Jeffrey is based on the US West Coast and will work with Eurogamer's large UK editorial team and growing stable of international contributors to provide well-rounded global consumer coverage of the games industry.
