BRISBANE, Australia - May 24, 2012 - Ready...set...blast off! Acclaimed mobile developer Halfbrick today announced that the newest content update for its fan-favorite endless runner Jetpack Joyride is now live. The new update, version 1.4, will feature a new shop item and three new gadgets, including Barry's best friend Flash, a robot dog.
All new items will be available for purchase in the Stash, and players can mix and match any two gadgets to suit their own game and goals. The newly announced items include:
Gadgets
- Flash: Barry's longtime pal, Flash helps you collect coins and more.
- Dezapinator: Zappers are prone to failure and sometimes fizzle out.
- Turbo Boost: A crazy flying contraption that drops boost rings, flinging you forwards in a destructive explosion.
- DJ Headphones: Slip on these bad boys and turn the volume up high.
Jetpack Joyride will skyrocket players into the latest adventure featuring the lovable and mischievous hero Barry Steakfries, who captured hearts in previous Halfbrick mobile games, Age of Zombies and Monster Dash. Down on his luck, Barry discovers the ultimate opportunity to turn his boring life into one of adventure, heroics and beach chairs! Inside Legitimate Research filled with jetpacks and mysterious obstacles, he commandeers the fun-fueled technology and literally shoots for the skies on a shower of bullets, rainbows, bubbles and more!
