Brisbane, Australia - Sept. 1, 2011- Acclaimed game developer Halfbrick today released its biggest mobile title since its award-winning, smash-hit Fruit Ninja. Jetpack Joyride will skyrocket players into the latest adventure featuring the lovable and mischievous hero Barry Steakfries, who captured hearts in previous Halfbrick mobile games, Age of Zombies and Monster Dash. The game is now available for download on mobile iOS platforms (iPhone and iPad) for $0.99 from the App Store, and has been selected by Apple as the official iPhone Game of the Week.

Down on his luck, Barry discovers the ultimate opportunity to turn his boring life into one of adventure, heroics and beach chairs! Inside a "secret" evil laboratory filled with jetpacks and mysterious obstacles, he commandeers the fun-fueled technology and literally shoots for the skies on a shower of bullets, rainbows, bubbles and more!

"What happens when Barry Steakfries gains control of the world's most advanced and experimental technology? Either a boring scientific study - or Jetpack Joyride. We prefer the latter." said Phil Larsen, chief marketing officer at Halfbrick. "We love Barry here at Halfbrick, and are proud to bring him back again for the biggest, most outrageous, and, quite simply, the most awesome mobile game of the year. Jetpack Joyride has everything fans have come to expect from Halfbrick-it's simple, addictive, easy to learn and, above all, incredibly fun."

While trying to escape the maximum-security lab, players can dodge obstacles, collect coins and pilot crazy vehicles in pursuit of the high score, tracked on global online leaderboards. Joyriders looking to take the top spot can customize and upgrade Barry and his gear with the craziest technology, like coin magnets, score boosting bombs and a Shark Head jetpack.

Fans can check out Halfbrick's YouTube channel ( to see all the developer diaries and trailers heralding Barry Steakfries' triumphant return.
