Kalypso Media launch their own development studio!

Kalypso Media and the developer Boxed Dreams, have teamed up to form a new Munich based development studio, Realmforge Studios GmbH. Boxed Dreams are currently completing their PC title Ceville, which will be published by Kalypso Media in 2009.

"We have built a close and friendly relationship with Boxed Dreams during the development of Ceville and we are delighted to further this partnership. Kalypso Media who are funding Realmforge Studios GmbH as the majority shareholder, are delighted that this new opportunity will offer further chances for our teams to work closely together", said Stefan Marcinek, Managing Director of Kalypso Media.

All 10 members of the current development team at Boxed Dreams will be absorbed into Realmforge Studios GmbH. It is planned to double the size of the Realmforge Studios team by the middle of 2009.

"The formation of our own development studio increases our independence and flexibility with regard to our choice of products. Furthermore, the studio will enable us to react even faster and more efficiently to the demands of the market and our customers", said Simon Hellwig, Managing Director of Kalypso Media.

Currently the development team are completing the PC adventure Ceville which will be published in February 2009. The first new product from Realmforge Studios will be a business simulation package to be published in the last quarter of 2009.
