After more than 6 years of its initial release, XS Software announced the latest version of Khan Wars: 4.0 Bloodlines which is one of the most popular web strategy free to play games ever created.
“We really want our game to be true to the medieval setting it is based on and we plan to stick to this theme even more in the future installments of Khan Wars” said Hristo Tenchev, CEO at XS Software.
From what we’ve seen so far the players can promote the members of their royal dynasty to knights that can command armies or develop castles. Dynastical marriages and royal offspring are also included in the picture – infants grow into knighthood age and can be promoted.
When knights participate in battles they influence the nation skills depending on their prestige level, equipment and personal statistics.
Each Knight class is specialized in a different area:
v The Marshal is experienced in raising armies and crushing rebellions;
v The Landlord is a skilled builder, develops your castles and leads ancient site excavations;
v The Trader uses the fastest trade routes to distant lands and negotiates with merchants from passing silk route caravans;
v The Spy knows the strengths and weaknesses of your enemies and is in charge for the espionage of your kingdom.
“The idea is to add more features to these knights with future updates to Khan Wars 4 and make them a cornerstone of the gameplay mechanics. They will never be able to single handedly defeat armies but rather than that influence troops under their command to perform better by using special tactics and improving nation skills” said Zheko Stefanov, the game’s producer, when asked about the mark that the knights are going to leave on the current gameplay.
That said Khan Wars 4: Bloodlines is probably the biggest installment ever released for this franchise and from what we’ve seen the change on the medieval battlefields promises a lot of tactical choices while pursuing epic victory!
