Kidguru Studios Announces Lumaki for the Iphone® /Ipod Touch® Platform

July 29, 2010– Kidguru Studios (Sao Paulo, SP - Brazil) today announced the release of Lumaki for the Iphone ® /Ipod Touch ® platform. The game will be available via Apple’s App Store ® on July 1st in Europe and North America for $0.99.

Featuring a collection of 12 mini games and a lot of customization options, Lumaki put the player in charge of training and shaping little outer dimension creatures called Lumaki.

“This is our first foray into the Iphone ® platform and we are very excited in working with the constant growing audience of Iphone ® ”, said Daniel Garcia, Director and Co-Founder of Kidguru Studios.

As the player progresses and unlocks more customization options he can customize his Lumaki with a lot of different options. After the player is content with his Lumaki, he can send it to the game’s website and print and assemble a papercraft doll.

"Papercrafting allows the player to turn his characters real. Along with the game customization options, a huge collection of unique Lumakis can be created. Once printed and assembled, they look exactly like in the game", said Winston Petty, Director and Co-Founder of Kidguru Studios. "Lumaki is a starting point - for the product and for Kidguru. On one side, it presents a new IP that can be further explored in many different ways and platforms. On the other, the studio incursion into social media integration - something to be explored in a much more deeper level in the near future"

Lumaki was the winner of BR Games 2009, a contest organized by the Brazilian Ministry of Culture, which selected 10 game concepts to receive funding for the development of demos.
