King Oddball Challenges Playstation Vita Gamers to End the World

Tampere, Finland, January 8th 2014 - Finnish game developer 10tons Ltd. announced today the release of the eccentric physics based puzzle game King Oddball on Playstation Vita. Featuring single button gameplay and weirdly wonderful audiovisuals, King Oddball is available immediately on SCEE region Playstation Store at 4.45 €. A free trial is also available. King Oddball will be released in SCEA region later in January.

“As an accuracy and timing intensive game, King Oddball feels great on PS Vita. The high grade physical action buttons allow for perfect timing, so the player can blame only himself or herself for failing a tricky level for the twentieth time.” says Tero Alatalo, CEO of 10tons Ltd.

The goal of King Oddball is to clear the screen of enemies with three rocks or less. The King swings a rock back and forth by his amazingly stretchy tongue, and the player releases the rock by pressing a button. The trick is to crush several enemies with each rock by anticipating how the rock will bounce and tumble after release. Starting off as casually mellow, the level of challenge steadily rises to excruciating heights.

Features:

  • Single button gameplay. How hard can it be?
  • Unique skill based physics puzzle
  • More than 120 levels + secrets!
  • Eccentric art style
  • Original music by Jonathan Geer
