Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today revealed a new trailer for Pro Evolution Soccer™ 2009 (PES 2009) for Wii™, which is available now throughout the Americas. The trailer showcases prominent gameplay and scoring sequences of both cover athletes Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona, and Andrés Guardado of Deportivo de La Coruña.

PES 2009 for Wii™ builds on the innovative control system pioneered by its predecessor, as it adds a wide range of new control and content elements to liven up the action and provide a more interactive experience. The game features real stadiums, real players, online play, new gameplay modes and more, allowing gamers to re-create the same excitement that surrounds the world's most popular sport.

PES 2009 for Wii™ enables players to choose from three different controller styles to fit their preference including Wii Remote and Nunchuck, horizontal Wii Remote or the Classic Controller. Other key features include the addition of the UEFA Champions League - the greatest club competition in European football - a greatly expanded Champions Road Mode, and the introduction of the Master League on the Wii platform. PES 2009 also has co-op play and a greatly improved online mode allowing up to eight players to compete online at once, using two consoles.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 is now available on Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Windows PC, and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system and Wii™.
