Lady Shotgun, a co-operative of freelancers run by ex-Tomb Raider executive designer Anna Marsh, are celebrating releasing their critically successful iOS title Buddha Finger on Windows Phone and Windows 8.
Previously released as an iOS Universal app on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, the game garnered a very strong critical response including being named on of Virgin Media’s Top 12 Smartphone games of 2012. The team received support to port the game to Windows from Microsoft, including loan test hardware, and technical and marketing support from their Windows Phone team. The game will have a full launch on Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 on 13 th of May.
The team were also delighted to be featured this week by Apple in an Incredible Indie Games promotion on the App Store.
Lady Shotgun was founded in 2011 by Anna Marsh along with two close friends and colleagues who were also mothers, tired of juggling commutes, long office hours and demanding schedules with motherhood. Joined by a small and fiercely talented team, Buddha Finger is their first game. New independent developers Lemon Moose have assisted with the ports of the game.
Lady Shotgun is currently working on future projects for a variety of platforms.
