London Comic Con Gets Dark ‘n’ Deadly as THQ and 2K Games Reveal Headline Titles

There’ll be saints and sinners at next month’s MCM Expo London Comic Con, with 2K Games previewing horror-drenched shooter THE DARKNESS II and THQ showcasing explosive sandbox actioner SAINTS ROW: THE THIRD.

Sporting a characteristic Gothic Noir art style, THE DARKNESS II puts players back in the shoes of Jackie Estacado, wielder of The Darkness – an ancient force of chaos and destruction. Now Don of the Franchetti crime family, Jackie is trying to keep a lid on his powers… until an assassination attempt unleashes The Darkness within him and sets him on a journey to Hell. As they guide Jackie on his bloody quest, players will have a brand new ‘quad-wielding’ feature at their disposal, enabling them to use his supernatural Darkness powers while simultaneously blasting away enemies with dual guns.

Meanwhile, SAINTS ROW: THE THIRD opens with the 3rd Street Saints as top dogs, ruling the mean streets of Steelport with an iron hand. So when rival criminal cartel The Syndicate tries to muscle in on your turf, there’s no choice but to go to war. Yes, the SAINTS ROW franchise is back and doing what it does best; explosive open world gameplay packed with cars, guns and pure unadulterated fun. The game also comes with the Initiation Station, a new online feature where players can create, share and download the most stylish, badass and downright bizarre-looking game characters ever seen.

2K Games’ THE DARKNESS II and THQ’s SAINTS ROW: THE THIRD will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. You can check out both games plus many others at the MCM Expo London Comic Con on 28-30 October.
