‘Big Dai Di’ Launches With The World’s First Global Rankings For Asia’s Most Popular Card Game!

HONG KONG, August 5 th 2013: Big Dai Di Ltd. today announces the highly anticipated launch of ‘Big Dai Di V2.1’ to the iOS® and Google Play™ app stores. The new release represents a total overhaul of the original app taking the already popular game online as a real-time multiplayer app featuring the world’s first player rankings for Big 2 online.

Big 2 a.k.a. Choh Dai Di or Chinese poker as it is often called, is a fast-paced card game with dramatic highs and lows that pits player’s skills, and coins, against fellow competitors. Big 2 is a bit of an ‘Ancient Chinese ritual’ having been played in dormitories and on street corners in the Far East for generations. With the launch of this multilingual multiplayer app on iOS® and Android™, the craze is poised to hit the rest of the world hard.

Those already familiar with the game will know that for years people have been able to lay false claim to the title of Chinese Poker Master without any formal rankings against which to benchmark their skills. Now, for the first time, fans of Asia’s most popular card game will be able to battle it out over the number one spot for all to see. “When we started working on Big Dai Di Multiplayer we had a very clear vision in mind – we wanted to put pay to all the claims we’ve heard over the years from friends and rivals that they were the supreme Master of Dai Di” said Faridah Turner, Director of Big Dai Di.  “We also wanted to introduce this addictive card game to a whole new group of fans, partly so we could dominate them as well, but mostly because we think it’s a game worth sharing”.

And the numbers seem to agree, with players of the original offline game sticking around for user sessions of more than an hour on average. ‘Big Dai Di’ is the kind of game you can play for five minutes on the commute to work or a few hours on a rainy day. Commenting on the stickiness of the game, Ali Kurtze, lead developer had this to say, “I’d like to be able to say that we’ve created some secret sauce that makes this game technically sticky but the truth is that Big 2 is just plain addictive, whether you’re playing it on your phone or with real cards at home. What we have been able to achieve in development is a seamless user experience so you can play in real time against people from all over the world.”

The creators of ‘Big Dai Di’ are putting out an A.P.B for all players who think they can beat or are the best to put their [virtual] money where their mouths are and take their spot on our online rankings.
