Do you think there is a shortage of top down shooters?

Ever wondered what it would be like to be the last man alive after an alien invasion?

And do you hate the color ‘pink’?

If you agree to the above, ‘It came from space, and ate our brains’ might blow your mind.

Your name is Jerry, you’re balding, and you know how to handle a gun. You somehow managed to survive the invasion of a merciless alien species, the kind that feeds on human brain. Things look bad when you wander the city, looking for gear and weapons to survive, as pink light emitting aliens try to corner you. You realize there is only one thing left to do: set a new high score and die like a badass.

‘It came from space, and ate our brains’ is a top down shooter with horde survival gameplay. The brain slurping aliens are not only vulnerable to bullets, but also to light. Using your flashlight, environmental light, and special powers helps the player to take care of the unwanted pink guests.

This is the second game developed during the Protocannon project; a long running project during which Triangle Studios aims to build a new indie game every other month. This time around, the crew focused on creating a unique atmospheric setting and addicting, straightforward gameplay. Triangle Studios will make the Protocannon games available for free and if any of them become a hit, it will continue development in order to make it bigger and better.
