‘Tag Games Expands For the Future!’

DUNDEE, UK - 21/09/2011 - Tag Games Ltd.

Building on a fifth consecutive year of growth, the mobile gaming and app specialist Tag Games has today announced its intention to expand to over 50 employees at its Scottish headquarters after moving into a new office space in Dundee’s Digital Media quarter.

Since its founding in 2006, Tag Games has developed an outstanding reputation within the mobile games and app industry as a trusted developer and self-publishing pioneer. The company now plans another period of aggressive expansion as it looks forward to unveiling new projects for a variety of global partners and a self-publishing road-map focused upon innovation in social and freemium mobile games. The new office space will allow Tag to hit their target of at least 50 in-house developers and will provide an improved work environment for their talented team.

CEO Paul Farley had the following to say on Tag’s future plans:

“Tag Games is proud to be a part of a resurgent Scottish games industry. This studio expansion reaffirms our commitment to Dundee and Scotland and sets us up for strong future growth, both at home and abroad.”

The announcement of Tag’s expansion plans comes shortly after company launched its self-publishing arm ‘Tagplay’ in July of this year. Tagplay complements the Tag Apps sister brand which has completed non-games work for the likes of BBC Worldwide, Channel 4, Virgin Atlantic and others. The first release under the Tagplay brand will be ‘ Funpark Friends’ (due for release on the 1 st of October on iOS platforms), a freemium social mobile game which encourages players to build theme parks of their dreams.

Product Evangelist and Head of Business Development Simon Adams noted:

“Tag Games, its self-publishing arm Tagplay, and its app development arm Tag Apps are building on success generated by quality of service and absolute expertise in execution. We are confident that this expansion is only the first step in becoming the UK’s leading mobile games and application developer.”
