Major European Expansion For Distinctive

For Immediate Release:

Sheffield UK and Gliwice, Poland. March 19th, 2007. Distinctive Developments, one of Europe's largest independent mobile game developers, is expanding with the creation of a post-production studio based in Gliwice, Poland.

The new office provides Distinctive with a dedicated post-production facility within the rapidly evolving European market.

This follows the creation of Distinctive's North American office in 2007. The US office is growing as demand for post-production services in that territory increases.

The creation of the new office is part of Distinctive's ongoing investment into it's post-production capabilities. Distinctive is an award-winning mobile games developer, but is now rapidly building a great reputation as a capable and expert porting/post-production partner.

Distinctive has committed significant resources to it's post-production and porting tools, technologies, processes and skills, to ensure the company provides the highest levels of service to companies looking for post-production.

Distinctive already works with a wide range of development and publishing partners, including Namco and EA, to provide them with the same high quality post-production services that Distinctive uses for its own internally created titles.

Johanna Vuorela, Distinctive's newly appointed Operations Manager will oversee the new studio and Distinctive's global post-production operations. The Head of Studio in Poland is Wojciech Golowkow, who has worked with Distinctive on numerous projects over the past three years.

“The creation of the new studio is part of Distinctive's ongoing strategy to create world class post-production services,” says Johanna.“The new studio provides the company with the means to provide our partners in Europe with a flexible, responsive and high quality service for every single project. Post-production is a critical aspect of development, but one which is often overlooked. As a pioneer in the mobile gaming sector, Distinctive understands what a huge difference it can make to the long-term success of a game. We are determined to offer development and publishing partners the same exacting standards we insist on for our own titles.”

“The increasing complexity of mobile titles and the growing demand for guaranteed standards of quality control mean post-production is fast becoming the factor determines whether a game reaches it's maximum potential and a truly global audience,” says Wojciech.“Many content creators try to handle the post-production internally, without taking into account the scale of the task. Distinctive's focus on quality and the creation of a dedicated studio which can offer the highest levels of service ensure that it can meet the needs of partners worldwide.”

Distinctive is one of the world's largest independent mobile game developers. The company has been creating high quality mobile games since 2001 and in that time has worked with many of the world's leading publishers and media companies. Distinctive has created many original titles including the award-winning 3D Pool series, as well as working on a large number of games based on brands and licenses.
