MCM Appoints New Sales Manager

The MCM Group is delighted to announce that Lee Miah has joined its team as Sales Manager. Lee will be working on MCM’s popular videogame, movie, and comics events, including MCM Expo London Comic Con, Britain’s biggest pop culture festival, and the UK’s best-known collectors’ show, Memorabilia.

We sat down with Lee to have a chat about his new role and work background:

What do you think of MCM Expo and how do you fit into it?

“The MCM Expo/Memorabilia brand is vibrant, creative and fresh, which echoes the way in which I aim to work. I think the success of the show is down to the strong team behind it, while the integration of the different areas of the show has helped MCM Expo excel as a fun powerhouse. This is an exciting opportunity for me to inject my creativity, skills and competencies; I am really looking forward to getting my teeth into this!”

What is your working background?

“My most recent role was at Centaur exhibitions working on the In Store show, a retail marketing event co-located with five complimentary events and falling under the Marketing Week Live umbrella. Before that I worked with global media company Tarsus on international exhibitions, online/offline publications and sponsorships, and prior to that at IPC Media, the publishing division of Time Warner. During my time there I worked on various magazines ranging from Horse & Hound to Now and Ideal Home.”

What’s your best achievement outside work?

“Buying my first property at 22 and increasing its value within three months by developing it. However, I think there's a lot more to come!”

What is your most inspirational company or product?

“Oh, I’m an Apple tart! Steve Jobs was the best techno geek ever, a master of his trade and revolutionary for modern technology and communications.”

What gets you out of bed in the mornings?

“My alarm! Being able to think outside the box and helping companies get in front of their customers.”
