MeanFreePath LLC. Announces Push Notifications For The Latest Turf Wars Update

Palo Alto, California - Feb. 17, 2010– MeanFreePath LLC., maker of innovative, location-based social games for major mobile devices, announced today the release of Version 1.2 for its ground-breaking app, Turf Wars, for the Apple® iPhone™ and iPod® touch. The update makes various performance enhancements and provides GPS fixes, but most notably it enables Push Notifications, which allows you to keep track of what’s happening to you and your turf while you’re away.

“Push Notifications means you’ll know instantly when someone makes a move against your turf,” says Nick Baicoianu, founder of MeanFreePath and creator of Turf Wars.

Receiving an A- rating from The Onion AV Club, who called it,“an addictive download that's continuously delivering new challenges”, Turf Wars is a free crime-based social MMO that uses real-world territory through an interactive map to provide an innovative multiplayer experience. Utilizing the Apple iPhone and iPod touch’s GPS capabilities, control your own piece of Turf, and attack others as well. Turf Wars is also the first social crime game to use real physical territory as a major gameplay element.
