SAN FRANCISCO - October 21, 2011

SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced that they are offering two of their best-selling iPhone® and iPod® touch titles for free during AppAllStar’s Champion Week in a pair of one-day-only special events. Fans are sure to go bananas over the free version of Super Monkey Ball 2™ on Sunday, October 23 and can test their skills in the fast-paced beat-em-up action of Streets of Rage 2™ on Friday, October 28 – for less than they would spend on, well, anything that costs money!

Featuring a gang of monkeys enclosed inside transparent balls, Super Monkey Ball 2 tasks players with rolling their simian friends past a wide range of obstacles that include gaps, slopes, narrow ledges and moving platforms. Using the game's immersive controls, players can simply tilt and turn their phone to steer their character, accelerating and decelerating as they make their way through the colorfully animated world.

The most beloved game in the Streets of Rage™ series, Streets of Rage 2 allows players to fight the evil crime boss Mr. X in a series of down-and-dirty, street-level battles with a complex plot and fast gameplay. Streets of Rage 2 includes multiplayer capability via Bluetooth™ and the original Japanese version of Bare Knuckle II™ for more brawler action.
