Metaversal Studios Announces iOS Game "Elemites"

Massachusetts game developer Metaversal Studios is pleased to announce their upcoming game Elemites for iPhone and iPod Touch devices. Elemites will bring an original story and innovative gameplay unlike any existing game to the iTunes App Store.

Elemites is a Real Time Scrolling Strategy (RTSS) game that gives players a new experience in touch-control gaming. The game casts the player in the role of an inept wizard who is chased from his village by an angry mob after a spell goes horribly awry. Alone and exhausted, he finds a book of magic that gives him the power to summon mysterious elemental creatures called Elemites. Armed with the book and his Elemite forces, he sets off to seek his revenge.   Elemites features an array of magical spells the player can use to power up their Elemite minions and blast foes across three game worlds.   Elemites is slated for a mid-September release to Apple’s iTunes App Store for use on iPhone and iPod Touch devices.

" Elemites gives us the opportunity to bring a new genre of games to iOS," said Matt Sughrue, VP of Product Development at Metaversal Studios. "We blazed a trail in entertainment shaving with Shave Me!, turned the Match-3 genre on its head with Battle Harvest, and now we've created the RTSS genre with Elemites. Gamers of all types and skill levels will enjoy the new twist on strategy gaming and fans of our games will love the quirky humor."

Previous iOS games by Metaversal Studios include Shave Me!, Bad Apples, Battle Harvest and GameRoom.  The Bad Apples puzzle game franchise has seen 1.5 million iOS downloads since release and Shave Me! has established itself as an Entertainment-category hit with over 4.5 million downloads since it launched in the App Store. The studio team is thrilled to add Elemites to the Metaversal roster pending App Store approval in September.
