MMOGame.com becomes Gameforge.com

Karlsruhe, Germany, January 19, 2011– Gameforge, the leading European publisher of provider of free to play online games, is giving its portal MMOGame.com a new name and a new domain: Gameforge.com.

"We have decided to take this step in order to be able to work more effectively and stringently with the Gameforge brand,“ says Christoph Jennen, CFO at Gameforge AG. "In the future, we want the portal to benefit from the strong brand name, and we would also like the users who play our games to identify more strongly with the umbrella brand.“

The portal serves as a central hub for more than 200 million players of different Gameforge games. Thus, fans of 16 games in all, including MMO highlights such as Metin2, 4Story, and Elsword, as well as browser games such as OGame, Ikariam, and Europe 1400, get to communicate with friends or find new teammates. Gameforge.com makes it especially easy for newcomers to try out various games and find their personal favorite: Once logged in, they can access any game with just one click, and find out what suits them best.

From now on, social media activities of the old umbrella brand MMOGame will be united under Gameforge.com as well. This applies in particular to sites such as Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter.

In this context, the company website of Gameforge AG, previously found at www.gameforge.com, is being redesigned and moved to the subdomain corporate.gameforge.com.
