MOBILE GAME DISCOVERY SERVICE ‘QUYAY’ GOES ALPHA

REDWOOD SHORES, CA –   March 27, 2013 –  Quyay, pronounced “Q-yay” and announced today by Slimstown Studios, is a new discovery service for mobile games. Quyay’s twin goals are to give users an eye-catching and fun new way to find lesser-known games they’ll love and to give indie developers a useful new way for their games to be found by gamers. It is currently in alpha at Quyay.com, with a mobile app also in development. Users are encouraged to visit Quyay.com to apply for early access, as well as to reserve their usernames before they’re taken. Mobile game developers should also sign up at the site to learn more about the service.

Using a pinboard-inspired visual style, Quyay offers a fun and engaging way for users to find new games. It allows them to post pictures and video of mobile games that they like, have new games automatically recommended to them based on their posts, discuss other users’ posts, and earn badges just for participating in the site’s community. Quyay’s recommendation engine will dig deeper than other search and recommendation tools, helping fans of certain genres or themes find lesser-known games that they’re likely to love. Most importantly, once they find a game they want, users will be able to download it within a few clicks from Quyay’s mobile game store.

For developers, Quyay offers the best new way to get their games discovered. Not only can developers post their own game assets on the service for free, they can also directly interact with users who comment on and like images and videos of their games. Additionally, Quyay will offer an SDK that developers can integrate into their games, which will include multiplayer-facilitating features, direct media capture and sharing, and more.
