Who Are PomPom?
I'm Michael Michael. Yes thats right. Both Michael. Utterly ridiculous, yes? My mother obviously drank too much whisky. Either that, or was a comedian. I do have a middle name though. Paul. Which would make me Michael Paul Michael. Which sounds like a pope. So, I chose to stick with the plain old ridiculous title of Michael Michael. I take care of the art side of things, and a chunk of the design. I live in Cambridge, England.
The other Pom, is Miles Visman. A much cooler sounding name, I think we can all agree. Or camdencouncil as hes known here. Not a man of many words... relative to me that is. Miles does all the coding brain fry stuff, and argues with me about everything else. He lives in Hampstead, England.
We worked together at a few games companies, before bravely/foolishly deciding we could go it alone and make some cracking games people want to play. That was in the year 2000. We're still here, and still trying to make cracking games. We started out making PC games. Our first two titles Space Tripper and Mutant Storm, we're critically acclaimed by PC Gamer. From there, we spend a few years doing console games. We now hope to bring those console titles to PC and MAC via Steam. We've also been beavering away at some iOS titles, of which Monkey Bump is one... obviously! We have Jelly Pops & Alien Zombie Death on the way for iOS.
We have one other loony, that we impose on for glorious music and sound effects. James Drabble. James has been doing our sound since 2004 and happy we are for it.
That's it. 3 blokes working from our homes, trying our damnedest to make games people want to play. Our games are small, as you would expect from mostly 2 people. But we believe in what we do.
Thanks for reading and I hope you dig our games
